Iain [Max] Maxwell is a London based registered Australian architect who since graduation from university in 2001 has divided his time between architectural practice and design research, experimentation and teaching.  He has worked for several national Australian design practices and in 2007 was awarded the Royal Australian Institute of Architects Young Architect Prize (ACT).In 2007/2008 Max will be undertaking a post-professional masters in architecture & urbanism at the Architectural Association in London (AADRL). He will be studying on a British Council Landerer Arts scholarship and an Architectural Association graduate bursary. His research explores urban forms and models figured upon the study of emergent behavioral fields and complex systems of multiple intelligences.

David Pigram is a New York based designer and academic.  Born in Australia, he earned a Masters of Science in Advanced Architectural Design from Columbia University after graduating with First Class Honors from the University of Canberra with additional periods of study in Finland and Thailand.David’s work explores complex adaptive systems in design and has been exhibited in the UN Habitat World Urban Forum III, National Museum of Australia, The Beijing Biennial, as well as in Paris, Los Angeles, Melbourne and New Zealand.  Awarded the Marten Bequest Traveling Scholarship for 2005 – 2006, an Australian Government Research Grant and the Rotary Youth Leadership Award, he was one of seven graduates across Australia to receive the RAIA Chapter Medallion in 2003.He has taught at Columbia GSAPP, Pratt Institute and the University of Canberra and been an invited jury critic for SCI-Arc, The Architectural Association and Goa University.David is currently a project team leader for Studio Daniel Libeskind and is a Visiting Professor at the Pratt Institute.  He played a Viking in the largest Bollywood film ever made.

Project Collaborators

Matthew Hall is an incredibly enthusiastic designer and product maker currently based in Detroit.  Following architectural studies at the University of Michigan, Matt spent periods working in New York for both Studio Daniel Libeskind and Michael Sorkin’s Studio.  His work has been shown in Monaco, Canada, and the United States.

Jared Olmsted is a New York City based designer and fabricator with a strong background in interdisciplinary collaboration.  He was trained as both an architectural designer and artist at the University of Colorado, Boulder, where he earned dual undergraduate degrees in architecture and fine arts. In 2006 he received a Masters Degree in Architecture from Columbia University.Jared critically engages existing and new material fabrication technologies and has collaborated with a variety of professional artists, architects and fabricators across the U.S. and abroad.  Significant collaborations include working for Fabrication Specialties LTD. in Seattle, WA on a wide variety public art projects including James Turrell’s Roden Crater Project and, in New York, working directly with Roxy Paine on his solo show at the James Cohan Gallery in 2006.Jared recently worked as a professional fabricator, designer and project manager at 4-pli/ Associated Fabrication LLC and is currently a designer for Studio Daniel Libeskind.
